In his formative years Jo worked in a clog-making factory on the outskirts of Amsterdam. He loved making clogs – working the wood, honing it, carving it. It was an honest life. But times grew harsh as peoples’ desire for wooden footware declined. He had to quit the factory and move abroad. But where? During his time making clogs, he spent his lunchbreaks building small electrical gadgets – cuckoo clocks, dancing bears and clapping monkeys. He developed this technical expertise to the point where he's now our Technical Director, guiding all of our digital projects, but he still makes the occasional set of clogs for friends and loved ones in the evenings.
